What are your application requirements?
We require proof of income in the form of 2 most recent paystubs, 2 most recent tax returns or a signed new job offer letter along with a $750 holding deposit.

The security deposit is $750.00 for those with excellent credit, or equivalent to one month's rent for those with good credit. Upon approval, a holding deposit can be refunded with a cancellation within 48 hours of approval of application .

Rent is payable by the 1st and can be conveniently submitted online via your resident portal. An ARC payment from your bank incurs no fee. Additionally, debit and credit card payments are accepted, are subject to a convenience fee.

Yes, minimum of $100,000 in liability insurance

What happens if I need to move out before my lease expires?
While we hope you will remain a resident of the Princeton Property community, we do realize that circumstances may require you to move. Please contact the Management office to go over your options in the event you need to terminate your current lease contract.

The resident is responsible for clearing and moving their vehicle after a snowstorm. The office will direct when snow removal will begin and residents will be alerted via email.

No grills, no bicycles, the patio/ balcony is not to be used as storage.
What is the procedure for moving in/out?
Move-ins are scheduled for the day your lease is set to start and key pick up will be after 4pm. Move out must be completed by 12pm on the last day of your 60-day notice to vacate date.

You will want to visit our website, jamesbyprinceton.com . At the top of the page click on residents. Once you click on that, you will use your username and password to log in to your portal.

You have the ability to pay your rent, submit a maintenance request, contact the community, view, upload and sign your documents.

When in your portal, on the left side of the screen you will click on My Apartment, click on documents and upload document.

Am I able to renew my lease? How?
Yes. Approximately 2 months prior to your lease end date, you will receive communication from the Leasing Office regarding your renewal terms.
Can I add occupants to my lease? What is the process?
Yes provided you are not over occupancy. Should you choose to add someone to your lease, you will want to contact our Leasing Office regarding the application process.
Am I able to transfer from my current apartment to a new apartment or building?
Yes, we do offer the option to transfer to a new aparment with in the community. Please contact our Leasing Office for our transfer policies.
How do I put in a maintenance request? How long does it take for maintenance to respond to a request?
For non emergency maintenance issues, contact our Leasing Office during business hours or you can submit an online maintenance request through the resident portal.

What constitutes an emergency maintenance request?
An emergency maintenance request refers to an urgent issue that requires immediate attention to prevent further damage, safety hazards, or service disruptions. Examples include water leaks, fire, electrical issues, structural and/or security concerns to name a few. Please contact our Leasing Office should you have any questions.
How do I enter a maintenance request online?
By visiting your resident portal and clicking on Request Maintenance at the bottom of the screen. Please contact the Leasing Office directly for emergency requests and do not enter them through the Portal.

At The James, we feel your pets are members of our extended family so we strive to make them feel right at home. We welcomes cats and dogs. For each pet there is a pet rent of $100 per dog and $50 per cat. We allow up to two pets. We do have breed restrictions and invite you to contact our leasing office to learn more.

Packages are delivered to each building inside the package room. Enter your code on the keypad to gain access.
